Day 2 - Software
What is a DAW? It stands for Digital Audio Workstation – it is an application that is used for for recording, editing and producing Audio Files. MIDI recording, editing, and playback is another feature increasingly incorporated into modern DAWs of all types, as is synchronisation with other audio or video tools.
- There are many different DAW’s – we have selected the most popular and easiest to use.
- The entry level versions of the DAW, will have less tracks available to record on, make sure you pick one that will allow you to record every track you need.
- The full versions of DAW software always contain a larger amount of bundled plug in software – make sure the version you pick has the featured plug in you are looking for, if applicable.
- If you are stuck, please just ask, we’re more than happy to recommend something for you!
